Questions, answered

What is Cyber-Ball Manager?

It is an online football management game set roughly 500 years in the future. You run the squad, tactics, training, transfers, staff, facilities, finances and the rest of the club. Nobody else is going to do it.

Is CBM a multiplayer game?

Yes. Human managers share the same game world with bot-controlled clubs. Matches and competitions run on a schedule, so the world keeps moving.

Is the game free to play?

That is the plan. CBM is designed to be free to play, supported by optional paid extras. Paying should not replace actually managing the club.

Do I control matches in real time?

No. You prepare the formation, lineup, bench, tactics and conditional Events before the match. Events can then react to the time, score, cards, injuries and other conditions without you hammering a button on the touchline.

What makes the football futuristic?

It is faster, more commercial and considerably more violent. There are cybernetics, powerful corporations, robotic systems and supporters who are not known for measured feedback.

How do transfers work?

Players owned by managers use an eight-hour highest-bid system. Teamless players have no seller and can be bought immediately for their listed Value.

What do implants do?

Once installed, they stay in a compatible player slot until they are destroyed and improve one attribute during matches. Playing wears them down, injuries can damage them further, and you cannot repair or remove them. Choose carefully.

What happens when a player is injured?

A lasting injury makes the player unavailable and stops normal fitness recovery until the injury has cleared. The Injuries section shows how bad it is and how long you are expected to suffer.

How does signing in work?

CBM uses Google to verify who you are. The game never needs your Google password; your manager and club still live inside CBM.

Is the game finished?

No. CBM is in active development. Working management systems are being expanded, connected, balanced and occasionally told to stop doing that strange thing.
